Chiropractor Nathaniel Otto D.C.
Dr. Nathaniel Otto graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. On his path to earning his Doctorate, he also earned two Bachelor degrees: BS in Human Anatomy and BS in Exercise Science and Physiology from BYU. He further went on to receive national certification in Physiotherapy. He has studied numerous techniques in healing, pain-management, and physical rehabilitation. This has led him to excel in patient education and treatment through the persistent pursuit of exceptional care.
Dr. Otto is passionate about chiropractic care in serving to promote health and wellness to the communities he serves. This reflects in his active approach to healthcare. He believes that health should be enjoyable and obtainable; leaving the patient in control.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Kari; together, they have two energetic little boys (ages 6 and 4), a lively little girl (age 2), and a new baby girl on the way due in August. He lives an active life with hiking, fishing, reading, and adventuring with his family. He enjoys serving the community through his church and as an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America Association.
Chiropractor James Moss D.C.
After graduating from Palmer Chiropractic College-West in 1987 and 31 years of practice, Dr. Moss and Susan are retired as of June 1, 2018.
Both Dr. Moss and Susan greatly appreciated serving the Federal Way community since starting Life & Health Chiropractic in 1998. With integrity-based chiropractic provision, with political activism and patient advocacy, with medical integration and local charity participation - they've felt blessed with knowing their years have been well spent. In retirement, they'll miss most the respectful and caring personal and professional relationships they've shared with patients and with their team at Life & Health.
They are grateful, delighted and proud to have Dr. Otto as a friend and colleague. Dr. Otto is a caring person, and a doctor of integrity and skill. He invested a full year with L&H learning the practice's compliant and transparent healthcare. He looks forward to continuing the patient-first spirit of Life & Health Chiropractic. With confidence - Dr. Moss and Susan have left Life & Health in very good hands.
Martha Duval - Licensed Massage Therapist
Martha Duval has been with Life and Health since July of 2006. She specializes in therapeutic deep tissue massage, making it her mission to stay within all of her patients' pain tolerances to enhance their ability to heal, allowing the muscles to relax, rather than guard against recovery.
She also has a passion for modalities that utilize very light pressure with maximum results. These include Craniosacral Therapy, which works with the central nervous system, balancing the body to alleviate issues from headaches and physical pain; Lymphatic Drainage techniques to help reduce inflammation in certain post-surgery patients; and Jin Shin Do, a form of Acupressure that can help alleviate pain related to fibromyalgia, various types of neuralgia, muscular pain and headaches.
Martha is also a certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher. Reiki is a modality that helps people to completely relax and reconnect to who they truly are. From a homeopathic perspective, it allows the patient to very gently reconnect their mind, body and spirit. She is able to use this modality when working with people who are dealing with cancer and any other life challenging issues.
"Three Simple Truths:

3. Love is all there is."
